This state agency is responsible for providing most of the services Iowans who are blind need to live independently and work competitively. It's mission is to be the means for person who are blind to obtain for themselves universal access and full participation as citizens in whatever roles they may choose.

Eligibility:
Eligibility requirements vary based on the service. Please call to determine which services you may qualify for.
Intake Process:
To make a referral, you may call 800’362’2587 or complete the referral form. To contact the library, call 515-281-1323.
Hours:
The main door is unlocked and front desk is staffed Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. If you need assistance with entry to the building between 8:00 am – 9:00 am or 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm, please call 515-281-1333
Closed on state holidays.
