Starts Right Here offers a mentoring program partnering with the Des Moines Police Department. Starts Right here serves at-risk youth in grades K-12 in the Des Moines Public School District. Starts Right Here also offers a financial literacy program. Volunteers help educate the youth with interview preparation, career-building skills, and communication skills. Starts Right Here creates a strong emphasis on breaking barriers through the arts. The youth served are able to showcase their talents through multiple modes of entertainment and art.
