This line is to help the Spanish-speaking community in the state of Iowa with the goal of providing information, resources and support for the Iowa community. The line is answered by professionals from the Latino community.
All the information is confidential.
Services:
Call for help in Spanish, they provide confidential assistance to:
- Fill out forms
- Read correspondence
- Connect to local, state, or federal resources
- Provide advocacy
- Answer any type of questions
Note: The Iowa Spanish Helpline does not provide financial aid, they provide information about agencies who provide the aid.

Program: Office of Latino Affairs
The Iowa Office of Latino Affairs serves as an ongoing resource for Iowans of Latino heritage, government agencies, businesses, and other entities in the state. They help to remove barriers for Latino Iowans and bridge existing cultural, language, and service gaps.
Services:
- Assisting public and private groups to develop inclusive, strategic plans, programs and, initiatives and to implement them
- Connecting organizations and Iowa employers with Iowans of Latino heritage
- Educational presentations and forums in English and/or Spanish
- Serving as the voice of the Latino community in committees, advisory boards, task forces, and initiatives
- Up to date and reliable information, resources, and news on Facebook, monthly newsletter and media interviews/articles
Eligibility:
Anyone of Latino heritage or those who work with people of Latino heritage.

Program: Office of Persons with Disabilities
The Division of Persons with Disabilities is an agency located within the Department of Human Rights. The Commission was established in 1965 by the Iowa Legislature.The 24-member commission is appointed by the Governor to equalize opportunities for full participation in employment and other areas of the state's economic, educational, social and political life for Iowans with disabilities. Through education, advocacy, referral, technical assistance, legislative action and special projects, we work to achieve these goals.
