Growing Healthy Kids is a home visitation program for expecting and new parents that is committed to supporting parents so they can give their children the best gift of all – a loving, nurturing family.
The goals of the program are to promote positive parent-child interaction, child health, development, and family coping skills with new baby.
Services:
- Information and education about babies and children, and what to expect of them
- Parenting tips on how to nurture your new baby as well as other children in your home.

Expectant and new parents that live in Kossuth county.

Program: Public Health Nursing
Public Health nurses provides skilled nursing care, information on healthy lifestyle practices, and encourages changes for better health. This service is available to every citizen (of all ages) and is provided locally in every county. Skilled nursing services are provided by professional staff or associated paraprofessionals. The service available varies by county. Public Health Nurses also provide information and assistance to link families with local community resources for health and social needs.
