Waukee Area Christian Services is located in the Northwest Entrance of Westview Church.

Hours:

Food Pantry hours: Monday 12:00 noon – 6:00 pm; Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm; Saturday 9:00 – 11:00 am

Free Medical Clinic hours: Mondays 5:30 – 7:00 pm walk in or by appointment.

Fruitful Vine Garden: Mondays 4:00 – 6:00 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday 9:00 – 11:00

The Free Clinic is a non-profit outreach that serves the health needs of the uninsured and under insured in the community. Waukee Area Christian Free Clinic is a member of Free Clinics of Iowa.

  • Well-child exams
  • Sports and school physicals
  • Employment physicals
  • Chronic disease management
  • Diabetes – glucose testing
  • Patient assistance program enrollment​
  • Physical therapy
  • Chiropractic care

Eligibility:

Open to anyone.

Intake Process:

Walk-ins welcome or call (515) 987-5523 to schedule an appointment.

Hours:

Monday 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Chiropractic Care & Physical Therapy available in rotations. See website for upcoming dates.

Individuals and families can visit the food pantry once per month to receive about a weeks’ worth of groceries. There is also an Anytime Food Room, which can be accessed once per day.

Families can visit the clothing closet once per month to shop for clothing for children ages 4 – 14. Clients may select items that meet their personal needs and style preferences.

Individuals and families must reside in Dallas County, or within Waukee School District.

Intake Process:

First-time visitors to the Food Pantry or Clothing Closet will go through a brief check-in process. Please follow the guidelines below to ensure we can meet your needs:

  • Clients must live in Dallas County or Waukee School district
  • Bring identification for each member of the household
  • Bring proof of residency (utility bill or rental lease agreement)

Located on the grounds of Westview Church in Waukee, The Fruitful Vine Garden was started in 2009 with the goal of providing fresh produce to clients of the WACS Food Pantry. ​The garden is a collaborative effort of volunteers, including individuals, families, community groups, and members of the Dallas County Master Gardeners Association. We take pride in growing a variety of chemical-free produce onsite.

Eligibility:

Open to clients of the Waukee Area Christian Services Food Pantry.

Intake Process:

During the growing season, clients are eligible to visit the garden once a week to receive a “share” of fresh produce based on family size and availability. Before going to the Community Garden, clients must first check-in at the Food Pantry.
