Amani Community Services

Amani Community Services is a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Agency providing innovative culturally specific services to African Americans throughout the State of Iowa. Amani Community Services was birthed by three African Americans who saw the need for a culturally specific service agency for victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault within their community.

Amani Community Services originated in July 2014 in Waterloo, IA, serving survivors within Black Hawk County. It was within a few months later an office opened in Cedar Rapids, IA, serving survivors within Linn County. In October 2019 Amani Community Services grew to serve survivors of all counties in the State of Iowa. Within these years of growth, we have served over 1,000 clients and now have offices in Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Des Moines and Waterloo, IA.

Any individual who is a victim of domestic or sexual violence.

Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
